The New Mexico Health Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening New Mexico’s long-term care workforce. Through education scholarships, professional development opportunities, and emergency financial assistance, we support caregivers and other long-term care professionals as they build their careers and continue serving their communities.

The New Mexico Health Care Foundation operates in affiliation with the New Mexico Health Care Association. This relationship helps the Foundation remain closely aligned with the needs of New Mexico’s long-term care workforce, facilities, residents, and families.
By working alongside NMHCA, the Foundation can identify workforce challenges, direct resources where they are most needed, and support programs that strengthen long-term care throughout the state.
Expand access to education, training, certifications, and professional development for long-term care professionals.
Help caregivers remain in their roles by providing emergency financial support during times of crisis.
Strengthen the stability and resilience of New Mexico’s long-term care workforce.
Support higher standards of compassionate, person-centered care across the state.
These efforts help reduce workforce shortages and turnover while supporting a more skilled and dependable caregiving workforce.
Stronger support for caregivers ultimately leads to safer care environments and a better quality of life for residents and families
who rely on long-term care services.
